MERI SCHOOL Enrolled 8 Waste Picker Children


Education for Sustainable Development allows every human being to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values necessary to shape a sustainable future. PUSHP the NGO in Rajasthan working with UNESCO mission for education. According to UNESCO Institute for Statistics, ‘globely some 263 million children and youth are out of school.’ PUSHP care and working for education for everyone.
In Jaipur (Rajasthan) PUSHP enrolled 08 Waste Picker Children in MERI SCHOOL education program. A waste picker is a person who salvages reusable or recyclable materials thrown away by others to sell or for personal consumption. There are millions of waste pickers worldwide, predominantly in developing countries, but increasingly in post-industrial countries as well.
